Math

     We will be perfecting our multiplication and division skills with whole numbers, decimals and fractions. We will also revisit area, volume, geometrical shapes, units of measurement, and graphing. The units may not be taught in chronological order.

Reminders

  • If at anytime your child needs to review the day's lesson or needs some extra support, please log onto thinkcentral using the directions on the thinkcentral login button located to the right

  • Please join your child's class on Edmodo to stay informed of your child's progress and class assessment grades; invitations to join were sent home the last week of September

  • Grades for Chapter One mid-chapter check have been posted on Edmodo

  • Thanksgiving Math project has been assigned; students have received the packet on Thursday October 18th- assignment is due by Friday November 9th in anticipation of our first math celebration; more information to come

  • We will proceed to Chapter 11 -Volume, immediately after Chapter 2 and will return to Chapter 3 after we complete Chapter 11

We will be utilizing several different resources for our science program this year. We will begin the year off learning about matter and ecosystems. There are already two articles that have been assigned along with writing assignments. Both were due by October 19th; please check your child's science notebook for comments and revisions to be made
